El Centro de Recursos Para Familias (Trenton)

• This Bonner Team provides ESL classes twice a week for participants of El Centro.  El Centro's mission is to promote a world in which immigrant families reach their full potential, achieve self-sufficiency and live in a just and compassionate world.  Classes are offered at night to better facilitate both the students and the teachers.  Three different levels of instruction are available: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. 
• Mike Cacoilo teaches the beginner class.  His students are those that know essentially nothing about the English language.  He starts from the basics and focuses on vocabulary and verb conjugation. 
• Two Intermediate classes are offered.  Amanda Castro teaches one, and Narolyn Paredes and Katrina Wunderlich co-instruct the other.  Verb tenses and sentence construction were some topics covered this year.
• Briana Villei teaches the Advanced class.  Her students are able to have basic conversations in English and are more focused on enhancing reading, writing, and speaking skills. 

Bethany Lutheran

• At Bethany Lutheran this team provides help staffing an afternoon program for students twice a week.  The students range in grade from K-8.  Students are also provided with the option of an art project, or science experiment if they complete their work early.
